Neurology
The doctors, nurses, technicians, social workers, and administrative staff at the Truman Center for Neurology are dedicated to providing the very best neurological care.
Our first priority is to provide state-of-the-art neurological care to our patients, whether we are treating individuals with highly complex conditions or less complicated problems.
Our clinical care encompasses all neurological problems that affect the brain -
• strokes
• seizures
• tumors
• multiple sclerosis
• cognitive and movement disorders
• Parkinson’s disease
• Alzheimer’s disease
and those that affect the spine or the nerves of the arms and legs, such as neuropathy, which can cause numb feet, and myopathy, which can cause weakness or difficulty walking.
Our clinicians are also teachers and scholars. We are dedicated to conducting world-class research and to educating the next generation of physicians and allied health professionals. We are also committed to providing education within the community and to caregivers.
The Truman Neurology was designed so that all of your appointment and testing needs happen in one place. Whether scheduled for a clinic appointment with one of our neurologists, a non-invasive test, or in-patient care, you will be cared for by our Neurology team. Our Center is committed to providing comprehensive, innovative, and evidence-based care to all of our patients.
Our clinical faculty work very closely with our colleagues in Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Neuro-ophthalmology, Behavioral Health, and Rehabilitation Services. Our academic enterprise encompasses our neurology and neuroscience colleagues at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Children’s Mercy Hospital, and Research Medical Center.
