TMC Medicine/Pediatrics (Med-Peds) Clinic

Quality care for your whole family

The Med-Peds Clinic is a partnership between TMC and Children’s Mercy Hospital. We are a dedicated team of physicians, residents, a nurse practitioner and support staff who work together to provide the highest quality care to people of all ages.

The clinic is staffed by residents who are medical doctors training to become dual-certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, and attending physicians who have achieved that certification and are teachers at the UMKC School of Medicine.

Pediatric care

Your children will be in exceptional hands with our physicians. They are trained to provide quality care for newborns, infants and children with routine childhood diseases as well as chronic and complicated illnesses. We provide well visits, immunizations, sports physicals and all other general pediatric services. Should your child require referral to a specialist, we are affiliated with the finest pediatric specialists in the metro area.

Primary care for adults

Med-Peds doctors can treat common illnesses such as viruses, infections, depression and anxiety, or the aches and pains that you can’t figure out. They also treat chronic illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and high cholesterol. If and when your doctor refers you to a specialist, he or she will oversee and coordinate your care — all with your well-being in mind.

Same-day appointments

Once your care has been established in the Med-Peds Clinic, same-day appointments are usually available with our nurse practitioner.
